About the Program

iGranada is one of only 27 Early Colleges in California.

The iGranada (iG) Independent Study Program incorporates online learning, daily advisory, and weekly live and virtual interaction. The program is designed with a unique and flexible collegiate-like schedule, allowing access to the comprehensive high school experience.

iGranada's Early College and Career Certifications position students with career readiness and the ability to seek out an array of internship opportunities in a 21st-century workforce. Students are presented with rigorous academics, innovative pathways, flexible schedules, and a supportive community.

Students engage in a variety of instructional strategies for success: academic seminars, weekly virtual synchronous instruction, academic seminars, and virtual peer interaction.

Coursework includes: Weekly college-level workshops, UC/CSU-approved online courses, and academic seminars.

If the ability to access courses during non-traditional school hours and complete a course before a semester ends is a priority, then this program may suit your needs.

Please note: If you were accepted into the iGranada program, the counselor will reach out to you directly.

Early College

iGranada is one of only a handful of programs in the state of California to offer an early college. Through iGranada, students can design their academic journey in ways that work for them, whether a highly flexible non-traditional schedule or one that more closely aligns with a traditional school schedule.

  • In collaboration with Pierce College
  • College courses are integrated into the school program
  • Ability to earn at least a year's worth of college credit before graduating high school
  • Able to start or earn certifications toward a career (or to support college studies, balancing college and career)

The program introduced the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) pathway in the fall of 2023, allowing students to include community college courses in their schedules and earn both high school and college credit for approved courses.
