What activities, clubs, or sports are you involved in at school?

At school, I am involved in ASB (Class President for two years),  GHC's ZOE International Club (Co-Founder, Co-President), Speech and Debate, and other various clubs on campus (e.g. HOSA, Cancer Kids First, CFS/NHS, 180 Christian Club, etc.).

Why do you want this position?

I want the position of Junior President because I am incredibly passionate about serving at school. With nearly 7 years of Student Leadership experience, I have developed a love for making a difference on school campuses and acting as a representative for my fellow classmates. As Class President for the last two years, I understand what it takes to be a hard working leader that prioritizes students' voices in school activities and events. I hope that as Junior President, I can continue serving GHC and the Class of 2027 with this dedication and perseverance.

How do you plan to make student voices heard?

Nowadays, we are often so consumed in trying to prove our own point that we forget the importance of stopping and listening to one another. As Junior President, I will act as a willing and open ear to the concerns and ideas presented by my fellow Juniors, making sure that no voice is suppressed or forgotten. Specifically, I will make student voices heard by sending out Google Forms through our Class of 2027 Google Classroom, asking for their ideas for future events, fundraisers, and activities on campus. Moreover, I will be sure to regularly reach out to my fellow classmates, asking for their inputs on what is happening at Granada Hills Charter High School.

If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be and why?

If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be passionate. In every activity or extracurricular that I take part in, I always put my all into everything that I do. While my passion does reflect in the work that I do, it also reflects in how I treat others. I am extremely dedicated to the student body, and love to be both a friend and leader that my fellow class members can rely on. As Junior President, I will be a passionate and committed leader that is ready to put in the effort to make sure you are heard at this school.

Why should GHC students vote for you?

All in all, GHC students should vote for me because I am a qualified leader with 7 years of Student Leadership experience, have served as GHC Class President for the past two years, and am dedicated (ZOE International Co-President/Co-Founder, Speech and Debate member, SCV  Federation Student Service Committee Co-President, NHS/CSF member, piano player for nearly 12 years, etc.). However, more importantly, GHC students should vote for me because I am willing - and ready - to make the 2025-2026 school year the best it can possibly be. As Junior President, I will continuously put in hardwork for the betterment of the Class of 2027 as a whole. To conclude, for the record, you should vote for me, Audrey C for Junior President! As an experienced, dedicated, and ambitious candidate, I promise to make the next two semesters noteworthy.

As Junior Vice President, I would be willing to accept any sort of suggestion or feedback that any fellow student may have and I believe that all feedback is essential to making any potential improvements our school.

If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be and why?

If I could describe myself in one word, I would probably say the word "curious." I would say the word "curious" describes me because I love to try new things and meet new people. Something about me is that I love to make friends and build connections with other people, and I am definitely not afraid to step out of my comfort zone. Being curious has led me to so many different opportunities, and I love the idea of being a curious and versatile person.

Why should GHC students vote for you?

I think that GHC students should vote for me because I'm a very motivated and driven person. Throughout my high school career, I've served over 500 community service hours, maintained a high GPA, and most importantly, made so many different friends. I think my willingness to put myself out there and experiment with new things makes me qualified for this position. I've worked in various leadership positions, whether it's my time volunteering with the LAPD, or my time organizing events and fundraisers with ASB. I believe that every single person that I've gotten to know has impacted me in some way, so the decisions that I would make reflect that. I think the most important aspect of a school is it's students, and as Junior Vice President, I will make sure that all of the students at GHC have a voice.

What activities, clubs, or sports are you involved in at school?

I am heavily involved in Granada Hills Charter High School Speech and Debate Team. As a freshman, I won 14th place in the state of California. This school year I won first place five times in tournaments and am about to compete in California's State Tournament again. Throughout my two year long Speech and Debate career, I either advanced into the semi-final round or final round at every tournament. I am the Speech Team's historian and assistant pod leader, fostering a strong community among determined and perceptive individuals. In addition, I have been in ASB since the start of my Sophomore year as Co-Chair of the Homecoming Parade Committee and Co-Chair of the Publicity Committee.

Why do you want this position?

When I was growing up, I had to go to speech therapy because I couldn't talk or communicate properly with my friends and family. I have first-handedly experienced what it feels like to not have your voice heard literally and figuratively. From going to speech therapy weekly to becoming a Speech and Debate Tournament Champion multiple times, my determination and growth leads me to believe that everyone has the ability to make a change--no matter how big or small. I want to provide the same opportunity for my peers. My passion for everyone to be heard is an ever-growing feeling. Being a leader isn't just about leading, it is about opening the doors of pathways to success for others.

How do you plan to make student voices heard?

My actions as Junior Vice President will be guided by the whole community in mind. Every single student will be the pushing factor of my decision-making. From Junior Valentine Grams to upcoming school events, I will put my all when it comes to making this school a better place for each student. Every criticism, opinion, question, and concern will be taken into account. I am an open-minded person who is a vessel that will allow everyone's opinion to shine. I will use my platform and position to make GHC an even more open and welcoming space to all, for everyone to be heard. An inclusive leadership style is key to a strong community in this school--and this will never falter if I become vice president.

If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be and why?

If I had to only use one word to describe myself, it would be the word "visionary". I have bright plans for the future. I envision the future of Granada Hills Charter High School to be full of determined students, enjoyable events, and a place for everyone to live their high school lives to the greatest. My imagination, openness, and determination will lead to great things. I have proven this to be true with my Speech and Debate and ASB careers, and I can prove it to you as Junior Vice President as well.

Why should GHC students vote for you?

Students should vote for me because I am experienced and determined. My previous experience in leadership and public speaking will allow me to be an effective Junior Vice President. However, my value doesn't come from any fancy title or trophy, it comes from the integrity of my soul and actions. I am running for Junior Vice President because I really do want to make this place better. From every waking moment to every step I take after this election, I will always strive to make the high school experience better for everyone, no matter what it takes.
