The GHC Wellness Center and AHA is partnering with Elvira Media to host a parent workshop and learn more about how to to navigate the evolving world of apps, platforms, and social media. Join us in-person or online on Tuesday, September 3 at 6:00 p.m. on at Rawley Hall or Zoom.
Our special guest speaker is Mr. Mateo Elvira (Class of 2014), an entrepreneur who started his own production company in 2019 to feature TikTok, YouTube, and podcast content. Mr. Elvira is a social media manager as well, advising companies on how to develop their presence to market to the next generation of users.
Together, we will be speaking about:
- What are common apps (e.g. discord, TikTok, IG) and their positive / negative usages
- Gen Z’s use of everyday language/colloquialism and their red flags (e.g. kms, opp, snap streak, Ohio)
- How to co-exist with diverse technology and social media through digital citizenship
