This past weekend, our incredible Speech and Debate team shined brightly at the La Costa Invitational tournament, earning accolades across multiple categories. The dedication, preparation, and talent of these students are truly inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. Here’s a recap of the standout performances that brought home trophies and recognition!

Congressional Debate

Our students showcased their persuasive skills in Congressional Debate:

  • Isabella Simon placed 13th, delivering well-reasoned arguments.
  • Ashrith Kasinadhuni excelled, securing an impressive 4th place!

Speech Events

Exceptional performances dominated the Speech categories:

  • Nancy Javkhlan wowed the judges with her analytical insights, earning 2nd place in Extemporaneous Speaking.
  • In the realm of humor, both Savanna Kimball (2nd place) and Emily Alexander (5th place) captivated the audience with their hilarious interpretations.
  • Original works took center stage with:
    • Sarah Marmol earning 7th place in Original Prose and Poetry.
    • Alexander Lopez delivering a compelling piece to secure 7th place in Original Oratory.

World Schools Debate

Our World Schools Debate team demonstrated teamwork and critical thinking to claim 3rd place. Congratulations to:
