This past weekend, our incredible Speech and Debate team shined brightly at the La Costa Invitational tournament, earning accolades across multiple categories. Here’s a recap of the standout performances that brought home trophies and recognition!
Congressional Debate
Our students showcased their persuasive skills in Congressional Debate:
- Isabella Simon placed 13th, delivering well-reasoned arguments.
- Ashrith Kasinadhuni excelled, securing an impressive 4th place!
Speech Events
Exceptional performances dominated the Speech categories:
- Nancy Javkhlan wowed the judges with her analytical insights, earning 2nd place in Extemporaneous Speaking.
- In the realm of humor, both Savanna Kimball (2nd place) and Emily Alexander (5th place) captivated the audience with their hilarious interpretations.
- Original works took center stage with:
- Sarah Marmol earning 7th place in Original Prose and Poetry.
- Alexander Lopez delivering a compelling piece to secure 7th place in Original Oratory.
World Schools Debate
