VICA Opens Scholarship Application Window for GHC Students

The Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) Foundation is proud to announce that scholarship applications are now open! 

Available Scholarships

1. Marvin R. Selter Memorial Scholarship & Rickey M. Gelb Scholarship

• Award: $1,000

• Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate students studying business, business administration, or a related field at one of the following institutions:

  • California State University, Northridge

  • Arizona State University

  • Glendale Community College

  • Los Angeles Mission College

  • Los Angeles Pierce College

  • Los Angeles Valley College

  • University of Southern California

  • University of California, Los Angeles

  • University of West Los Angeles

  • Western Governors University

2. Melvyn A. Kohn Memorial Scholarship

• Award: $500

• Eligibility: High school seniors (graduating in 2026) attending one of the following institutions:

  • El Camino Real Charter High School

  • Granada Hills Charter School

  • Harvard-Westlake School

  • The Buckley School

  • CHAMPS Charter High School of the Arts

  • International School of Los Angeles

  • Boys & Girls Club Members (VICA member clubs only)

Application Details (for all scholarships)

• Deadline: Friday, October 3, 2025

• Requirements:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Submit a 400–500-word essay on the provided prompt

  • Submit a resume with the application (college scholarships only)

  • Participate in VICA’s Annual Meeting on December 11, 2025 (11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Burbank Airport Marriott). Two complimentary tickets will be provided for each recipient and a guest.
