GHC Science Bowl Team Earns Four Medals at Antelope Valley College

Amani Faruq successfully advanced through the local qualifier for Anato-bee. She will travel to Philadelphia on March 14–15 to compete at the regional level.

Our Science Bowl team competed at Antelope Valley College and delivered an impressive performance, earning medals in four highly competitive events. Despite having only six weeks to prepare, our students demonstrated exceptional commitment, technical skill, and collaborative problem-solving. Their results reflect both their academic preparation and their ability to perform under competition conditions.

Competing in engineering design, applied science, and laboratory-based events requires precision, creativity, and resilience. Achieving four medals with limited preparation time is a strong indicator of this team’s potential. With a full preparation cycle next year, we are confident this group will continue to elevate its performance.

Amani Faruq successfully advanced through the local qualifier for Anato-bee. She will travel to Philadelphia on March 14–15 to compete at the regional level. The Anato-bee competition recognizes excellence in anatomical and clinical sciences. Top regional performers are awarded scholarships to attend summer programs of their choice in these specialized fields. We are incredibly proud of Amani’s achievement and look forward to cheering her on at regionals.
