VICA is pleased to announce the Melvyn A. Kohn Memorial Scholarship for 2024.
The Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) Foundation is awarding a $500 scholarship to a student attending one of the following high schools or primary education institutions:
- El Camino Real Charter High School
- Granada Hills Charter School
- Harvard-Westlake School
- The Buckley School
- Boys & Girls Club Members (VICA member clubs only)
- International School of Los Angeles
- CHAMPS Charter High School of the Arts
Submit completed applications to VICA Legislative Manager Victor Reyes at Victor@vica.com. The application deadline is Friday, September 27, 2024.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Must show an interest in the business community through extracurricular and academic involvement
- The student must attend one of the aforementioned schools or be a member of the Boys & Girls Club (VICA member organizations only)
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA•A 400–500-word essay on the provided prompt
- Must be a senior with an expected graduation in 2024
- The student selected must participate during VICA’s Annual Meeting on December 6, 2024, to receive the scholarship. This will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Airtel Plaza Hotel. Two free tickets will be provided for the student to attend with a guest.
