GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: Students are eligible for a GHC Diploma upon the successful completion of 230 credits of required coursework to earn a Diploma. Students must also attend the Summer Transition Academy. Students who do not meet the diploma requirements must complete the diploma requirements within in the summer and/or fall semester of the graduation year. Students may take classes during summer school, intersession, adult school or other institutions. Diplomas will not be issued after the end of the fall semester of the graduation year. Students with disabilities who are eligible for an IEP under IDEA should contact their case carrier for information about diploma opportunities.

Seniors may not participate in the graduation exercises if they fail to:

  • Meet academic requirements with credits and required courses
  • Clear all detentions and pay all debts
  • Attend the Summer Transition Academy (Class of 2011 and above)
  • Meet citizenship standards and/or follow school rules at any GHC activity
  • Attend BOTH graduation rehearsals
  • Attend the Senior Clearance
  • Attend mandatory Sober Grad
  • Fulfill obligations of the Senior Contract
