FREE OR REDUCED PRICE MEAL: All students wishing to participate in the National School Lunch Program (“NSLP”) are required to submit a meal application for the current school year regardless of their meal status for the previous school year. NSLP registration can be done on line through www.lunchapplication.com. Instructions for completing the online application are included at the end of this letter. PLEASE NOTE: Even if you have completed an application at another school or through the LAUSD website, you must complete a GHC application in order to participate in the meal program at GHC. If you have more than one child attending GHC, you only need to submit one online application – be sure to include all students living in the same household on your application.
Families that do not have access to the internet may complete a paper application available in the Cafeteria and Main Office. Families needing assistance or have questions about their application may contact the cafeteria at (818) 363-7303 or email@example.com. Families will be notified promptly of a student’s eligibility for the meal program based on the income information provided in the application.
All information submitted on the NSLP forms will be maintained in confidential files and no overt identification of eligible students will be made when meals are purchased. Students who are eligible for free or reduced price meals are entitled to one meal during the breakfast period (before school or during the nutrition break) and one meal during the lunch period. Additional meals and al a carte items are available for purchase during these periods at the regular menu prices. Funds can be added to a student’s account through the GHC website or the GHC mobile app, and students must have funds in their account in order to purchase items.
