Core and Supplemental Reading Selections (English)

CORE AND SUPPLEMENTAL READING SELECTIONS (ENGLISH): The School will provide parents with a list of the core and supplemental reading selections chosen for the English Department at the beginning of each school year. GHC has chosen core reading selections in accordance with state standards and state frameworks. While parents may request an alternative assignment if they object to a specific selection, please keep in mind that the charter school retains the right to exercise its academic freedom and refuse the accommodation if it will interfere in the school’s responsibility to implement the school curriculum in a way that is responsive to the overall educational needs of the school.
