Breaking Barriers: GHC Student Kawthar Al-Atya Clinches Second Place in National Chinese Speech Contest!

GHC student, Kawthar Al-Atya, has won second place in the national Chinese Speech contest for Grades 6-8 in the World Languages category, hosted by the American Academy of International Cultures and Education (AAICE).

"Witnessing her compete against such a talented pool of participants filled me with immense pride," said Mandarin Teacher, Ms. Chen. "Kawthar is a dedicated learner who exemplifies the outstanding qualities of the IB traits."

With over 100 participants in the initial rounds and only 14 finalists making it to the competition, Kawthar's achievement is truly remarkable.

Kawthar's parents beemed with pride, "We would like to thank Ms. Chen for all the support she provided Kawthar to reach this great achievement. We greatly appreciate the time and effort she continuously put into teaching Kawthar and especially during the process of participating and winning this important title."
