Updated COVID-19 Safety and Visitor Policies (April 2023)

Updated COVID-19 Safety and Visitor Policies (April 2023)
Granada Hills Charter

The GHC Governing Board recently approved a change to our COVID-19 Safety Plan and Visitor Policy that will allow School-approved visitors - regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status - to attend GHC indoor events and activities such as performances, athletic events, and meetings with GHC staff. The change also applies to GHC and non-GHC students.

All visitors must make an appointment with the appropriate office or possess a ticket to a scheduled event, must adhere to all applicable GHC policies (including current COVID-19 health and safety protocols) and must follow current Los Angeles County Department of Public Health requirements for isolation and quarantine for COVID-19. Visitors who do not follow these requirements will not be permitted on campus.

As communicated earlier in the school year, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is not required for School-approved visitors to attend events and activities held outdoors.

The GHC Governing Board also approved revisions to the GHC COVID-19 Safety Plan that closely align with the Los Angeles County Public Health Department's requirements and recommendations in the following areas:

  • Isolation and quarantine requirements after testing positive for COVID-19

  • Facial masking and use of personal protective equipment

  • Cleaning and sanitizing protocols

  • Individual health screening, monitoring of symptoms, and testing for COVID-19

There is no change to the School’s requirement that GHC staff, workers, volunteers, and age- eligible students are vaccinated against COVID-19.
