On National Signing Day, Los Angeles Valley College is pleased to announce that Ashley Hartunian of Granada Hills Charter School has committed to play water polo at Los Angeles Valley College.
The Los Angeles Valley College women’s water polo and swim/dive programs have established themselves as one of the premier community college women’s aquatic programs as evidenced by their 2013 W.S.C. championship and has produced over 30 All Americans since 2012.
In addition, LAVC has sent over 20 athletes to compete at the NAIA, Div. 3, Div.2 as well as the Division I level. Ashley has been an integral part of the Granada Hills aquatics programs and a stellar water polo player. Her accomplishments at Granada Hills Charter include:
- League Champion- 100 Individual Medley
- AP Capstone diploma candidate
- Qualify to graduate with High honors
“Ashley is a welcome addition to our program as a left-handed scorer and we truly believe Ashley will thrive both athletically and academically at LAVC," states Head Coach Pete Loporchio.
