2026-2027 Enrollment Applications

Application Window

October 1 at 9:00 a.m. - December 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.

Families of students interested in attending GHC must apply through a lottery application to attend an independent charter public school. Only students who reside in California can be admitted to and attend GHC.

Families who applied by the December 5 deadline
will be notified of their status before the winter break begins. Late applications will be placed at the end of the waitlist in the order of the application submission.

The Post Lottery Application for 2026-2027
will be made available following the lottery application window closing on December 5 at 3:00 p.m.

All TK-12 applicants, regardless of their home address, must submit an application.
Although enrollment preferences per our charter petition are available (see below), a lottery for admission will be utilized if there are more applicants than available space.

Siblings
An enrollment application must be submitted for each sibling. Applicants with a sibling who will graduate in May of 2026 are not eligible for a sibling preference.

Lottery Drawing

The lottery application window for the 2026-2027 school year runs from October 1, beginning at 9:00 a.m., through December 5, ending at 3:00 p.m.

Post Lottery

If your lottery application is not received by the December 5 deadline, your application will be considered post-lottery. Post-lottery applicants will not be included in the lottery drawing on December 16. Late applicants will be placed at the end of the waiting list after the drawing. They will be placed in the order of submission. Post-Lottery applications will open after the December 5 deadline.

Late Entries

Applications may be submitted after the December 5 deadline and will be considered after the lottery drawing. At that time, late applications will be placed on another, late application waitlist in the order they are received. Applicants on the late application waitlist will be contacted after the original waitlist for those who applied on time has been exhausted.

Admissions & Waitlist

From the lottery drawing, a list will be created of those students who will be offered admission and those who will be on a waitlist. Applicants will be notified by email of their status before winter break begins. Applicants who apply for the incorrect grade level will be moved to the bottom of the list for the correct grade level.
